AIAPS is the acronym for Association Internationale des Amateurs de Plantes Succulentes meaning (word to word translation): International Society for Succulent Plant Hobbyists.
This society has about 3000 members (in 2004). It operates in French in cooperation with the Exotical Gardens of Monaco on the French Riviera.
Anybody can apply for membership, which provides the following services:
- Society has a 48 pages full colors quaterly journal named Succulentes with a yearly extra issue on special topics: 2004 isssue is dedicated to caudiciform succulent plants.
- Old issue of journal are available at reasonable price from old issue depot. Cumulative index of all topics and papers is built every year and is available in January.
- Society has a seed depot managed professionaly to deliver top quality seed under CITES regulations. AIAPS 2004 seed list has more than 2000 references.
- AIAPS is operating a mail order shop to deliver special product used for succulent plant growing and pleasure. Succulent plant postcards are available from AIAPS shop, new series are published every year.
- AIAPS is operating two web sites www.aiaps.org for society life and a photograph data base at www.aiaps-photos.org
- 20 local groups or societies are set up localy in France for local operation on behalf of AIAPS.

Membership fees for fellows outside France are 34 euros (around 34 US $) for one year.
